I attempted to ask you about in a in a PM but got the error message - "User 'Buster D Body Crab' has blocked your personal message."

My PM is;

Buster D, Why would you edit my post http://www.gracecentered.com/christian_forums/general-discussion-forum/jesus-the-christ-87802/msg1054965939/#msg1054965939? (http://www.gracecentered.com/christian_forums/general-discussion-forum/jesus-the-christ-87802/msg1054965939/#msg1054965939?)

If my memory serves me correctly, I posted "Amen!" Why would you remove my punctuation emphasis?

I didn't realize the exclamation point was omitted. I have fixed that since reading this post.
I have my PM set to receive from staff and contacts only after being spammed by OldTimer and his sock account.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm curious now why my one word post had any consideration or need for edit.

I ask because I am uncomfortable with any edits to any of my wording/grammar in any of posts for any reason. I'm uncomfortable with it because I know I am responsible & answerable for my every idle word. I've been a member in good standing on this forum board since 2009 and have never had any edit to any text I've written that I am aware. I would like for that mutual trust to continue.

I know the deletion of the punctuation was minor in this context & only changed my intended emphasis, but a minor punctuation edit in a more involved post could change the entire context. I've had that happen elsewhere & would not want that to happen or begin on this forum board.

I hope all understand my caution & concern.

I had clicked the modify button by mistake thinking to quote your remarks and add my own. When I realized I was in the modification que I hit the back button on my browser thinking to leave the thread unmolested. This is why the quote bracket that I had deleted when I hit the quote button that didn't appear naturally on hitting what I thought was the quote button was also deleted and consequently removed your exclamation point.

Unfortunately, hitting the back button did not preclude the system from registering the initial modify option that I'd hit as by newbie moderator mistake.

I hope that explains the situation and allays your concerns.

Regards,
B.

I'm glad.
I feel we've resolved this and I'll close this thread now.
