Bad translation. He created the HEAVEN and the earth. singular.

THEN He split the heaven into heavenS.

JWs will say that Jesus created all OTHER things ( although the word "other" does not appear in the original texts ) THROUGH Jehovah, but again, the Bible does NOT say this.
