She was always a difficult child to raise, but as she neared the time she was to go off to
college she seemed to get much worse. A few weeks before she was to go off to a Christian
school she and friends hatched a scheme to move in together and our daughter was to
take some of our money without permission to help get it started. I don't remember all the
details now, but we discovered the plans just in time and we prayed about it like crazy.
She was determined not to got off to college, but we thought that we were supposed to send
her there and we were just as determined and in the end we brought her there personally.
She was there the first two semesters, except at Christmas, and strange to say it but she
seemed to mellow there off hundreds of miles away. She seemed to miss her home town and
even her parents and sister and was home sick, I guess, for her town and for us. Was it
part of God's plan for her? Guess so. When she grew up and was working she returned to us
one day and told us one day how a TV program that we were watching was not something
"appropriate" for Christians to watch. She was not joking, but serious. She was stricter now
than we were. But she is saved! Thanks to the Lord. Today she and her husband have two
small children.
