We have read that the movie The Resurrection is being worked on. A continuance of Passion of the Christ. But we can't find as of yet any exact date when this will be at movie theaters.

Can anyone find out when exactly The Resurrection will be released at the movies theaters? This way we can keep watch for the DVD release also.

Did you see The Passion of the Christ? What did you think if you did?

I have only seen published pictures, and cannot see any resemblance with the Jesus of the Bible. I think it was and is blasphemous idolatry typical Roman Catholic abomination.

Can't find anything affirmative either, one article said that spring of 2020 is likely, presumably around Easter time.

I shall know it is about the Jesus of the Gospel or not, once they show a bloody or spotless 'Jesus' crucified; and once they show an empty cross in daylight stand. That will tell it all, whether it is of the devil, or of truth or at least an attempt at truth.

I'm thinking, despite your opinion, you haven't actually seen the movie.  ::rollingeyes::

You're thinking what you're thinking, not what I wrote or claimed to have seen.

For 17 years I have been posting on internet, I have noticed that as soon as something not to the taste or level of mental capacity of the so called moderators is discussed, any challenger is first ridiculed, then humiliated, then subtly insulted, then warned for nothing, and next thing, you know what.

But what I have also seen happened time without exception, not long after you know what, the web-site and all incognitos with it like cockroaches under a blow torch have vanished.

Do you want a medal or a chest to pin it on?   rofl

If you had seen the movie you wouldn't be posing the questions you did, it was quite clear.

I did not claim or say or suggested I saw the thing! I DID NOT! I told you what I WOULD know IF I saw 2 things.

You are only provoking me so you can find an excuse to get me off your forum. You don't need a reason, just kick my butt off the stage and it's ALL YOURS!

IMDB says, "Plot kept under wraps." and, "...the sequel focuses on the events that occurred 3 days between the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His resurrection."

I am hoping for more post resurrection, pre-ascension events.

You're becoming paranoid here, it was you that commented here about something you haven't seen, I simply called you out on that. Now you're reversing your troll reply to my wanting to get you off the forum.  ::rollingeyes::

If I truly wanted you off the forum I would have already done so as you have given myself and other staff ample reason to do so, instead you were given grace and received a simple verbal warning to act accordingly.

Perhaps you should have just scrolled past this thread since it's irrelevant to you or your knowledge of the topic. Post smarter please and stop being so touchy when someone counters your assertions.

Pretty sure that the focus will be from resurrection to ascension, should be some good content there.

3 Resurrections

To return to the theme of the OP's question, YES, I have seen the Passion of the Christ.  Once. Once was enough for me personally, as it was so intensely moving an experience that I doubt I could see the entire movie again in one sitting without real difficulty in getting through the very realistic scenes depicting the torture of my Savior.

Despite the Catholic nuances within the film that I was aware of in advance, I believe everyone should see that film, as well as the almost-required sequel dedicated to the resurrection.  Is this resurrection not the basis for our future hope as believers?

In fact, so certain was I that everyone ought to see the first Passion movie, that I donated enough for our church to pre-purchase some 50-60 movie tickets, to be handed out to those from the church's neighborhood interested in seeing it during the week that the movie was first released.

I read that Jim Caviezel is reprising his role as Christ for the Resurrection movie sequel.  An excellent, inevitable choice for Gibson.  Jim's recent portrayal of Luke in the Paul the Apostle movie was a great one also. And yes, I'm aware of the dedicated Catholic background of Caviezel.  It will make no difference to me in my opinion of the content of the movie itself.

Just as Paul the Apostle himself once said in Phil. 1:15-18, if Christ was preached, he rejoiced, even if the personal qualifications and motives of the messengers were flawed.

If it takes 10 years to finish the Resurrection movie for theater release, it will be worth the wait, and I will be there.  Maybe with another batch of free tickets to dispense.

Again, I beg to differ. That others call me drama queen goes off my back like water off the proverbial duck's back.

Your knowledge of the topic - 100% = my knowledge of the topic - 100% = 0. The <topic> doesn't even exist yet. Yet I have studied it for a lifetime. So I'm prepared to stick out my neck and predict that the film to come will show both a <mushy bloody> Jesus and a vacated cross before the sun went down.

Want to bet?

Those things were covered in the first movie.

And I predict <those things> will introduce the next movie.
