Praise report about my job

Work has been going pretty good for a good while now, I think (like since last October or so). They've been pulling me between some coding and QA.

This last week I had the best meeting with my manager I've ever had. They've had me working under a different person for a while and apparently he only really has good things to say about me (according to my manager) that basically does a total 180 on all the negativity they had about me for the first year. It was even to the point that they were asking me because another one of their new hires was doing worse than I was (he's been there for a bit over a year) - so they're interested in what they could do better.

Of course I was thinking of things that could fill a book all along! And a lot of patient people heard all about the insanity of it.

It has been quite a major thing of trusting the Lord and making a lot of hard decisions about when to push harder and when to let myself have a break (i.e. go home after only 8 hours at the office) to save my sanity - so many times I felt pretty close to a breakdown. And I told people about that, including an atheist friend: I'm just trusting the Lord.

Now I'm starting to feel an awful lot like a valued employee (I am indeed getting some real work done). And it really is all God and that He is a higher authority than my bosses or anyone else in the world - He is really in control; when I serve the Lord, I've done my entire duty and the rest is the story He tells of my life. I've thought so much about how to trust Him and just be focused on avoiding sin, and pursuing righteousness.

I was very much in danger of losing my job at some points. My manager had had phrases like "it may not work out" or if I didn't start doing well when he moved me to a different project to do programming work "that will be a very hard conversation." And now the reports totally foil their perception of me.

Praise the Lord. 

It's not my intelligence or work ethic. It's the Lord being with me, and that's what makes me happy.

Cally, that's great news and good to see you happy~ happiness or a joyful spirit, is better than any medicine by the very best of the apothecaries.

Proverbs 17:22~"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

We affect our health by more than diet, nutrition, exercise, exposure, and sleep. We affect it by our attitudes and spirit. A happy and cheerful spirit will improve our health and add days to our life, but a wounded and negative spirit can ruin it. We should always consider our attitude if we desire good health and see good days.
