You kindly recommended Tinypic a while back, but now Tinypic says they're shutting down and referring users over to Photobucket. Too bad we can't just upload directly here at GCM.

Yeah, it's packing it in. I've been using Imgur https://imgur.com/ which was originally a photo hosting site for Reddit but has expanded to include anyone, anyplace.
Again, you don't need to sign up, you can just click the "New Post" button in the top left corner, select browse, and select an image from your PC.
After the image uploads you can simply right click on the picture and select "Copy Image", and then paste the image here.

And for me.... why does this not surprise me?  When I try to access I get

Me too.

In any event, if a picture cannot be posted then we will have to sharpen our descriptive skills . If a picture paints a thousand words, a thousand words should paint a picture....

You can look for another forum that interests you that allows uploading pics.  My model airplane forum does, and any of my own pics here at GC are linked from there.
