Do you ever watch CBS evening news?

There's a chance of tornadoes tonight, so I thought I'd turn on the local CBS affiliate (love our local meteorologist) to see what's brewing. I turned it on 30 minutes early and ended up watching the CBS network news with Nora O'Donnell. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Anger was seething from her when she spoke of Trump and she minced no words. It's been so long since I've watched any network news that it shocked me. Soooo much hate and anger seething from her. CRAZY. I can only imagine what it does to people who watch that level of anger and rage on a daily basis.

I read an excerpt early this morning anout the townhall meering and the Left including AOC are beside themselves mad at CNN. Trump must have done well I guess. The article talked about the audience was cheering for Trump and laughing at the host. Also I read that that CNN cut the townhall from the scheduled 90 minutes to 70 minutes. They wouldn't have done that unless they were getting their butts handed to them! I wish I had seen the program from start to finish. I haven't stopped giggling all day After reading some comments on Linkedin. I figured CNN would claim a complete field dressing and gutting of Trump.

I told someone on Linkedin that if the host would treat Biden the exact same way in an interview, I would come out of retirement and finance some of the townhall host's bonus this year! AND pay to see the carnage in person!

I didn't get to watch it because of a conflict, but the highlights were epic.

Used to watch it every night when Walter Cronkite was anchor.  Dan Rather was not too bad either (but IMO they should have used Bill Kurtis to replace Cronkite)

In those days, newsmen had some integrity.

I have come to wonder if they were maybe just as bad then, and we were just too blind back then? I do seem to recall that people like Sam Donaldson were "equal opportunity offending freelance proctologists" willing to relentlessly "probe" either side in order to obtain a news scoop! Nowadays, so called "journalists" are more interested in defending or advocating for one side or the other.

I only put on local news.. generally ABC to check weather.

Occasionally though will get some of the more notable names in the industry but have learned to tune them out
so they do not affect me as much.

What bugs me are the ones that try to hide which side they are on but you visibly see it when something bad is
allegedly happening to Trump... such as legal battles not going his way and you see the discernable smirk that
happens when someone is trying to not show their pleasure, or the slight frown when something good is reported on Trump.

This is overly apparent with Neil Cavuto.

Shame, shame, shame ... I have more respect for the view
