Not meaning to sound like a bigot...

[janine]

Holding up the Christ and Him crucified, Jesus conquering death and taking us with Him, as a central theme of our lives as a group of Chistians together, might help.

All else is peripheral and only useful insofar as it lifts up our Jesus/glorifies our Father/allows elbow-room for our Spirit.

So, we ought to be able to make room for many another upholstery pattern, on the throw-pillows on the sofa, that is our church life.

(Wow, this new cough syrup is psychedelic... can you see the local church as a big ol' comfy couch with wildly different pillows all working together to make up the whole?  Perhaps I'll enjoy the corner with the paisley pillows or the middle with the kinte cloth... definitely need to do something about that monotone opposite corner... it has a certain elegance, but it sure looks cold...)
