Will the ultimate outcome of this baseball season be the same as 1984?

I certainly hope so.

spurly

Nope.  The Texas Rangers will soon end their losing streak and they will win it all!

marc

Nope.  That season, if you remember, was fixed by Big Brother.

Besides, San Diego won't make it past the first round of the playoffs.

Bon Voyage

The ultimate result I am referring to, is the Tigers winning the World Series.  It matters not, who the opponent is.

I certainly hope so, for I am a Tiger fan, but Detroit has had a hard time with new York and Boston. Both of those teams have a good chance to make it in the playoffs. Whoever doesn't win the east division out of those 2, have a good chance to get the wild card.

Bon Voyage

That'll put 'em over the top for sure.
I'm sure it will, because the Cardinals' front office said it would.

I'm sure they would have preferred to have Royce Clayton back, but the Reds already claimed him.  Belliard was the next best thing.

marc

The race is over now.  In the last few minutes, the Reds have picked up Rheal Cormier and Kyle Lohse.

Are you from Michigan, J-Man?

I live right across the border from Detroit MIchigan in Windsor Ontario.

Bon Voyage

I lived in a border town for about 4 years, but it was up in the Sister cities farther north.

Do you mean Sault St. Marie?

Yes.  Of course, I was on the American side.
