The news is reporting that Ben Wallace is going to be signing a 4 year deal to come to the Bulls. This radically affects the Bulls, the Pistons, and the entire Eastern Conference for that matter. The Bulls already made the playoffs for the past two years with good fundamentals, good defense, and good coaching. In fact, they had the Heat, the eventual Champions, on the ropes in the first round... With their good draft, and their excellent move with Ben Wallace, not to mention all of their young talent, and everything else, they should be the team of the future... How long do you think it will be before these Bulls have a legitimate chance to become NBA Champions again?

I thought Big Ben from the Steelers was going to the Bears when I read the title of this thread.  Now that would have really been a shocker.

Bon Voyage

I just knew that London wasn't going to get rid of their big clock.

If they did, the rest of the world wouldn't know what time it was!

The Bulls will probably have to wait for Shaq to retire. As a Piston fan we've had to deal with him in LA and now Miami.

A sad day for Piston fans losing Ben. I understand that he and the coach, Saunders, didn't get along. Everyone here in Detroit would rather have kept Ben and said good bye to Saunders.

James,

Congrats!  The Bulls had a great draft, too.  I think they instantly are contenders in the East.  Wallace and Chandler will be great defensively.  Thomas is a crazy athlete.  Deng is very solid.  Heinrich surprises me how good he is.  Gordon is combustible, especially in the 4Q.

The intriguing thing about the Bulls is that they have a lot of trading pieces.  If Garnett ever seriously is put on the trading block, they will have enough pieces to make a very attractive offer and still have plenty left to be a great team.   It will be interesting to see if he would want to go home to Chicago or to L.A.  (I think his wife does business there?)  Kobe and K.G. would be a scary combo, too, don't you think?

Agreed. Great pieces. Great defense. Great chemistry. Great coach. (The Bulls reportedly were attempting to trade Chandler. I'm not sure if it happened or not, but Pax usually makes good decisions, and they will be strong with or without Tyson in the lineup).

The Bulls were in the market for KG, supposedly, two years ago, along with Kobe who almost came to Chicago. They would probably go after Garnett if he were available, because the temptation would be just too great. The Lakers are a decent team already, and should improve this year whether they ride the reigns of Mr. 81 or not. If they get Garnett, it will be scary, and surely another dynasty in the making for Phil Jackson.

Minnesota is stuck, right now, although they did get a great draft choice in Foye.  Garnett has a player option, I believe, after this year.  So, if they aren't improved before the trade deadline this upcoming season, something could give.

keep ben say bye to saunders.

i ghought Roethlisberger woud be a Bear and Im like WHAT!!!!!!!!

I think the Bulls will do well thisBupcoming season. ben Wallace along with some good developing players will defenitely help them. They may not make it to the finals, but they will probably get past the first round in the play-offs.
