The Recruit Al Pacino, Colin Farrell, Bridget Moynahan (1:45)

I want Colin Farrell's agent!  This guy has co-starred with all the biggest names in the business since Tiger Land and I don't think he'll be slowing down anytime soon.  There's a part in this movie where he jokingly says, "Bond.  James Bond," and the thing of it is that you know he probably will end up playing Bond someday.  Farrell is good.  And he's getting better.

The movie has earned its PG-13 with some mid-level violence, a scattering of obscentities, and a few sexual situations.  (Though I still can't figure out how SOME movies manage to get PG-13 and do all that they do... this one is probably closer to PG than R)

The plot is simple enough, but the fact that Farrell is being trained by the CIA puts you in the middle of the mind-games and keeps you guessing pretty good.  The performances are good and the story is well-paced.  Script is average.

I'd say--Matinee.  Don't spend the big bucks on it, but it's still a pretty good ride.
