Yes I paid for this fight, and what a colossal waste of money it was

Billed as the fight to save boxing, I thought these 2 were going to come out and try and destroy each other, instead Mayweather more or less ran for 12 rounds, and everytime De La Hoya would close the gap he would be way too cautious with his punches...

In 12 rounds there wasn't a meaningful punch landed, neither guy was ever hurt and at the pace they were setting, they could have gone another 24-36 rounds easy without hurting each other...

Don't be fooled by the pundits who are trying to tell you this was a great fight that saw Mayweather demonstrate his "ring generalship" and superior "boxing skills". Running away from the other guy is called "chicken" not boxing...

I thought I learned my lesson when I paid to see Tyson take out Holyfields ear (at least there was some real drama in that fight), but now I will never PPV another boxing match as long as I live...

my humble 2 cents

Hi Rick,

Oh, I agree the fight was horrible. Boxing has gone way downhill. My son ordered it and said never again, he is through with boxing. He is more into the UFC fights now anyway, so I don't think he will be missing anything by staying away from boxing.

Grace and Peace.

trifecta

The last de la Hoya fight I saw was incredibly boring--so I'm not surprised.

Speaking of Tyson-Holyfield, while the infamous second fight is more well-known,
the first was one of the best fights I've ever seen.
