What Division 1-Bowl Series football team won a bowl game in the 2005-2006 season, yet technically went winless?

Jaime

I'm guessing Florida International University

Nope.  Think closer to your home.

OKLAHOMA  ::clappingoverhead::

Somebody please explain

Oklahoma has to forfeit all of their wins from the 2005-2006 NCAA Football season due to sanctions.

 ::doh:: I wish we could figure out a way for them to have to forfeit the 2007 games. This was a good trivia question. I was thinking it had to do with a team going from a lower division to division 1.

PS, I just read the newspaper and this story is on the front of the sports page!  ::doh::

Technically speaking, they do not have to forfeit any of their games ... it's just that the wins are taken away from them.  Their opponents do not get victories instead of losses.

So I guess you could say that about any of their wins. They "won" games that year but technically now, went winless.

So does this mean that Bob Stoops record at OU changed?  What is his record now.  (By the way I think Stoops is a great coach.)

That is because he is a product of the BIG TEN!

That's correct.  Their official record that year would be 0-11 or 0-12 but the records of the teams they played do not change.

Yes.  His personal win/loss record as a coach is adjusted for the winless season.
