QuoteMy God does not allow His Word to be perverted
Can you explain this more.... I mean are you saying hermeneutics are unimportant or that there is a single method of interpretation in which all can have hope in there efforts to understand.

Hermeneutics is important. I'm saying that as I read God's Word, I open my mind and heart to it's leading. Not a pastor's leading, not a friend's leading. I have no problem disagreeing with someone's interpretation, I don't have to agree. I believe that the Bible is the unerring word of God, written just for me. That's what I rely on. God's Word, not man's word. I can't be any clearer in my position.

This doesn't sound clear to me at all. As an approach to scripture it sounds very selfish. But I don't think you mean it that way. But something written especially to you with the idea you don't have to agree puts you at odds with the nature of scriptures. Lets say I take the same approach where will that lead us to the Cross or another denomination? However what if we changed what you said that you do have a problem with disagreeing with someone interpretation, that you do have to agree, Gods word has truth in it for everybody! Where would that lead us to the cross or another denomination?

You misunderstood. I meant that I didn't have to agree with someone else's interpretation of what the Bible says. I rely upon what the Holy Spirit lays upon my heart when I study. Just as someone said elsewhere, if I was the only person on earth, I would be the one driving the nails. Christ died just for me (and just for you). But I will share Him with anyone who wants to know. Likewise, the Bible was written just for me (and just for you), but I will share it with anyone who wants to know. That is not selfish at all. Then again, you are interpreting what I said instead of just trusting that what I have said is exactly what I meant. Like what is done when one reads the Word.
