Lesson learned from history

[JohnDB]

Every time a nation became great it was due to their ships?

Or was it more because God blessed them due to their missionaries?

One country(in history) had a fleet of new ships built only to have them destroyed by a storm at sea...

Today I see America as the pre-eminant nation with hudreds of thousands of missionaries out there preaching and teaching the Word of God. Some are teaching Jesus primarily where others are teaching primarily some kind of theology peculiar to their style of worship.

Columbus was looking for a faster, quicker way to China/India as he was looking to repeat his parents trip to China where the Emporor asked for a hundred missionaries to come and teach his people about God when he "discovered" what America had to offer.

What do you think?

[RED SHIFT1]

I doubt it; China banned shipping of any kind for some time and got along fine without it.

The type of salvation offered to the inhabitants of the Americas by people such as columbus, cortez and pizaro was convert to christianity or be tortured to death  It may be what made a great nation but I doubt it very much.  GOD Bless.

Most Native Americans did not get the option to convert to Catholicism.  The conquistadors simply opted to go straight to the death part.  Or enslaved them to mine gold.
