Ken Burns' "The War"

[Jim Abb]

If you have a chance to see any of this documentary being shown on PBS stations I highly recommend it. The focus is on four towns and the soldiers from them. Don't expect much about the generals or world leaders as the focus is really on the average GI. I have sen most of it at this point and find it riveting.

I personally find it very interesting from a point of how we tell this story in 2007 vs. how we told it in the 80's and before.

Much has changed about how we look at this things. I find that very interesting.

This was, BY FAR, some of the best televison I have ever seen in my life time.  They should show it in all the high schools.

That was a very good series. I recently saw Ken Burns first PBS documentary about The Shakers. A group from the anabaptist tradition. It was well presented and quite engaging.
