My Girlfriend or should I say ex-girlfriend are having troubles. We are both born again christians. Does anyone know of any kind of programs or classes out there that concentrate on re-building a already pretty strong relationship. We are just going through one of the valleys of life and are seperated now. I still have feelings for her and she says she still has feelings for me. She is a new believer and still buiding her faith that God is in control of everything, and she worries a lot. I believe that God brought us together and we are right for each other, but she has some very valid concerns over the eventual blending of our families. It seems that everything out there is geared toward Married couples. Any suggestions?

Its hard to say what you should do in this situation with such little information. If you are both really wanting to work things out I would recommend a couple of things... maybe you are already doing these things. 1) Make sure you have at least 1 church service that you are going to as a couple. 2) Find a Bible study you can go to together or make one of your own (if you do the later remember you are the man in the relationship its your responsibility to lead). 3) Pray together. 4) should be an obvious in christian dating NO SEX before marriage.  5) get some accountability partners, same gender of course.

I know that you stated that you feel like God brought you together, however it sounds like this relationship is very rocky, all will have trials try to stay together if that is what you both really want.  However if no longer wants to be in the relationship you do have to respect that.

I hope the best for the two of you.

At this point that is what I am doing. We are not really communicating much, so we are not studying or really praying together. She said she needs time to figure things out, that there may be a chance to work things out in the future. All I am doing is trying to get closer to the Lord so that He can see me through this valley. I have turned all over to Him. Whatever the future holds for us is His will. I know that, and of course, I am fully respecting her wishes at this time although I did send her a little gift and a card the other day. But it was not a I want you back type thing. Just a fun little thinking of you. She knows where I stand. She actully asked me to stay in touch through all this. I just let her know I am still around every couple of weeks. The question if anyone knew of any formal study classes or books for people who are not married. There is a lot of secular stuff out there that seems good, but not much Bible based. It will be useful if God does bring us back together or to use in a future relatioinship no matter who it is.
