Good resources for parents to keep kids from smoking

There is a commercial-free website that has good resources for parents to keep kids from smoking.  It is  keepkidsfromsmoking [dot] com.  There are parenting tips and blogs from Active Parenting author, Dr. Michael Popkin and also free brochures and a downloadable kids song.

Please let me know what you think of the site.  I have other good site recommendations but wasn't sure if you were interested in them or not. Thought I would start with this one.

Also I could use a good Christian site for movie reviews and also for some at-home bible study with my gradeschoolers.

Here is how we do it:

We don,t smoke ourselves nor do we allow people to smoke in our house, Not even on the driveway.   I am the reason:  I grew up as a child. My mother smoked 40 cigaretes a day and my father smoked a pipe.  Our house stank of it. Cleaning nicotine stains off of our walls was and furniture was a regular thing.   Just think! If this is the damage it does to our house, Then what is it doing to our insides   Our house does not get cancer,But we do. My mother did and it killed her very slowely over the years.    Even though I did not smoke I have sustained problems as a result of there actions!

I am a painter & decorator. When I am asked to do a paint job in a smokers house. I refuse to do so point blank!     I dont want to breath there poison or use other dangerous chemicals to try and remove the filth.  i would rather clean a toilet.   

So overall I see a smoker as less desirable than a walking toilet bowl
