Well, I think there are at least two movies deserving this title. These are Terminator 4 and Transformers 2. What do you think?

P.S. To moderators: sorry for possible writing to a wrong category but I didn't find any other category for general chat.

Would I be forced to go see them to venture a guess? I probably haven't been to a movie in over twenty years, so I'll go with "Raiders of the Lost Ark," though I believe I actually saw that on TV. Jurassic Park reruns are pretty good too. The Wizard of Oz is always a standout with the kids.  ::smile::

I don't think I have seen anything so far that I could rank as movie of the year yet.

Maybe I need to see more movies......I'll keep watching.

Star Trek.

One of my favs... this summer... But, I do like Transformers ...  It may be a tie on this one for me.

I've thoroughly enjoyed Transformers, Terminator: Salvation and G.I. Joe, but I think the best film of the year so far is Pixar's latest, "Up."  Not only was it very entertaining, but truly touching, mature and managed to be sentimental without being at all pretentious

Phoebe in Wonderland
and
Gran Torino are 2 that come to mind

Star Trek was quite good.

GI Joe is too.

I thought Gran Torino came out last year but I just checked and it was on January 9th...so I'd have to say it's a tie between Up and Gran Torino though they couldn't be more different.  Both are amazing films
