Is it bad to laugh at this monty python thing, where these guys keep mishearing what Jesus is saying (sermon on mount)?

I mean it doesnt directly make light of the Sermon, only what they think they are hearing. But I find it hilarious, but maybe this movie is not a good idea??   Feel kind of guilty about finding it funny, but maybe making bid deal out of nothing???

This one snobby Greek guy says that we're not to take the cheesmakers thing literally.. --it refers to any manufacturer of dairy products.

what do you think?

Dear DWilmer, to me I don't get hung up on humor unless its out of place, or it's made to necessarily mock God. There's the old story of the father that went to revival and got religion. After putting up with him for a bit, his son goes out to the barn and sees their old mule standing there slobbering with its head drooping attempting to rest as it were; it looked miserable. The boy said to the mule: it looks like you've got religion too.

As Christians, in my opinion we ought to be able to laugh at ourselves, enjoy life more than anyone, and not resemble a tired old mule. People should look at us and wonder what we've been on to have an attitude they cannot muster up. I'm not talking mustering up something phony in our life much like a politician's smile; there should be an aura about the light we possess of Christ.
