::pondering::The man I was witnessing to....told me the only person that could tell him he was or was not going to heaven was God & how dare i judge him...he was a nice person...i just told him we cant get to heaven by doing good works & how the Bible said Jesus lived a perfect life for us---salvation is a gift...not earned...he got all defensive....I apologized told him I wasnt judging him....to no avail....& he made it clear the sex thing wasnt something he wanted to wait on.anymore...so I wished him luck..& offered him a Bible.....I am so discouraged bout men...I want to put God first..& i also want to be happily married...I live in a small town...cant seem to find anyone on internet sites ...am I looking at the wrong ones? Any good men left out there?...I feel angry again at my fiancee for not trying to overcome his issues  I dont talk to him or e-mail him & I told him not to e-mail or talk to me. unless God made him happy to be married.....i pray for him....but dont want to risk getting back with him unless I see God has done somethng to change him...& I dont think he wants to change...but my heart still feels broke....I want to meet someone that will be so much nicer to me & a good Christian that i can spend my life with....but never seems to happen...I am praying bout it...any suggestions bout good websites to meet people would be appreciated...God bless ya all! ::angel::  mind boggled

mondboggled I cant recommend sites for the USA cos I only know ones from the UK, but these things take time. I was on a couple of different Christian sites for 2 years before I met my husband. A friend of mine was on one for 7 years and is now happily married. My son met his fiance almost immediatly, It varies. I got to know some nice men, and some not so nice ones. Its like life, you get good and bad.

Just wanted to say. Are you ready to date again, cos it sounds a bit as if you havent got over your boyfriend yet. Just a thought.

I agree with chosenone's response on this. You never know when the right one will suddenly appear in your life. It may be tomorrow or it may be years from now. We just need to be patient.  There's a saying that you won't find happiness when you're looking for it. I believe in serendipity. The best treasures just show up when you're not looking for them.

As for the internet, I can't recommended any sites because I'm happily married. After my first wife died, and before I remarried, I did go on several sites, some Christian and some not (I won't name them because it was a long time ago and things change fast). I found it didn't make much difference as to the quality of people I met. I found Christians who didn't act like they were, and I found people on non-Christian sites who were very good Christians. Of course you need to be careful when first meeting someone, but that's true no matter where you find them.

My first wife was literally the girl next door, or to be more exact, the girl across the street. I really did meet my present wife by serendipity. A friend of mine had met a girl through the internet, but when he went to meet her, he didn't like her. He gave me her contact info and I emailed her (she lived across the country) and it went from there.

My advice would be to be patient, and God may send your perfect mate to you when you least expect it.

Mr quiet guy you are so right. In fact I had almost given up with the internet when I met my husband.I had had a very bad experience with one guy, and  I had come off one site and decided to give the other site another couple of weeks before I came off completely. My husband had just joined the site literally a few days before, and that was it. I contacted him and we met only 4 days later, and I knew he was the one for me. My son just joined, and  he had 30 contacts very quickly. He was drawn to the first girl who had contacted him, and they are now engaged 2 years later and due to marry next year.
Its much easier for men, especially when they get older, because on thse sites, as in life, Christian men are far fewer and thus have more choice.

Its not you .
It is God that has already Judged that unbelief in Jesus merits alone for ones salvations forfeits the heaven Jesus has already won for the person.

Why not try to meet people the old fashioned way in person .

what are your fun  intrest's  trying doing them  and you just might meet some one  who is christian and enjoys some of them to.

or try joining a singles club at your church .

I think you and I would have a meeting of the minds in many ways.  I am not a Christian in the traditional sense, in that I belong to no church.  But I like what you have to say on salvation, and wouldn't mind getting to know you better.

Personally, I can't see ever finding a woman who I agree with completely on all things Biblical.

To be honest, as soon as a woman started 'witnessing' (remember..witness means see..not talk) to me, I'm gone.

Truthfully...I agree with him. Only God knows. Having grown up in the "Worldwide Church of God" (Armstrongism), I am very familiar with people telling me that they "know" the truth. It does turn ones stomach. If you really care for him, have you considered not 'witnessing' to him for a while, and rather, listening? Are you sure that you took enough time to find out where he stands before telling him where he should be standing? Often one argument can get blown out of proportion and, after cooling down, people find that they are not as far apart as they thought.

I'm new here and hop I didn't intrude. Good luck!
