I had deleted a thread called 111-112, because of a certain poster flaming, and making the absurd claim to be the re-incarnation of John the Baptist.

It appears you a conversation with Sinead going on in the background of the thread as well.  Sorry if you got caught in the crossfire.  If you'd like to continue your conversation with Sinead, you may want to PM her, or perhaps restart the topic in the Catholic forum.

Yes. The Catholic church would never allow itself to be without a pope and I promise you the world isn't going to go on for another 100 years. :)

I meant, or rather the catholic prophecy states, that there will be a pope elected, but due to their rules which state that a pope must be elected in Rome, it means that a pope elected in Germany would not be official, according to the letter, but yet regarded as pope by certain catholics. The other catholics will decide to elect their own pope and will dispute the pope in Germany, causing 2 popes to be in position, some say even 3 popes. So decades could pass, without the church having any leader, since Malachi did not state, there would be gaps between popes.
None of these popes would be official according to the letter of the law, until Rome is safe to return to and elect officially the next pope. I'm not sure but I think they say the pope that officially returns first is the false pope or antipope. So this anti pope could be ruling the same time as the unofficial good pope Petrus Romanus who feeds his flock amidst tribulations as the underground church. Or perhaps Petrus is the evil pope, some writings say that.


It would be a tough time for the catholic church because the popes will be reformers. The antipope will desire, wordly type church, but the good pope will reform the church and change many of the doctrines. At least I hope his changes will be good and restore some lost doctrines of the early church.

So if we miscounted the number of popes an cardinal Ratzinger, with a bit of manouvering applied gloria olive to himself, then it could mean cardinal ratzinger is a much previous pope,
