"happy feetsies!!! (c:"

In this world we have problems, and they can hurt us and get the better of us. Problems can be like pebbles on a hard road and we are walking barefoot on those pebbles . . . ouchy oochie OW-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh!!!!

But with Jesus we are taken care of. Jesus has nice shoes on our feet. The shoes have tough but soft soles so the pebbles can't jab and hurt our feet and get the better of us. Because we are walking in Jesus' peace that makes us safe plus has us warm in God's love. Those shoes not only protect the feet but keep them nice and warm (c:

Paul says that our whole armor includes "having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace," in Ephesians 6:15 (c: So, while we are walking in His peace, problems can be underfoot, but we are safe from how our troubles would hurt us and get the better of us, plus we are warm in our Father's love in this peace, and in His peace > this peace of God is God's own harmony with His own creativity being shared with us so we can take advantage of any messing by the devil.

"'Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.'" (John 14:27)

So, Jesus is saying not to allow any whoever or whatever to get the better of us to trouble us. Even in the end times, when Jesus says there will be all that trouble, what does He say? > "See that you are not troubled," in Matthew 24:6. So, God expects us not to get troubled, even about all that end time stuff so horrible. Yet . . . we can get all bent out of shape about little things, even inventing ways of seeing things the wrong way so we can get angry when things are not even how we see them!!

And Jesus says, "he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much," in Luke 16:10. So, if my character has me so little things can get the better of me, to get me angry, etc., this can mean I am not ready to live and love the way Jesus will want us to love during the end times. So, I consider it is important for me to be good in any smaller thing, and not only in bigger things > "Let all that you do be done with love." (1 Corinthians 16:14) "So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God." (James 1:19-20)

And this includes not allowing any little or big thing to get us to argue or complain > "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain nor labored in vain." (Philippians 2:14-16)

So, this is all basic . . . all that God is spiritual enough to do with us (c:

"Trust in the LORD, and do good;
  Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness."
                                          (Psalm 37:3)

So, even while we are in this evil world, God says "do good."

Do not let evil decide what we do. Always - - no matter what wrong there is going on . . . with God we can do what is good.

And it says "feed on His faithfulness." We can feed on how we can count on God. If we feed ourselves with this, this will effect how we are spiritually and emotionally. And, of course, as we feed on how God is faithful, in our character we also will become more and more faithful the way God is.

Good stuff Comfy.  ::smile::

Made me think to C.S. Lewis' fictional work "The Great Divorce" where the grass was as sharp and unyielding as steel, yet when one walked towards Heaven, God provided an assistant to lean on, and it got progressively softer underfoot.

It is a hard world, but God softens even the severest of suffering.

God bless,
Carey.
