I saw the Bus chatting up Bob Costas the other night and have read today in the papers that he's already giving opinions about a few former teammates (not derogatory, though).  Do you think he will be a good announcer?
As far as former athletes go, I can think of Phil Simms and Chris Collinsworth, Merrill Hoge, Shannon Sharpe and Jaws as being some of the best at talking about the game.  I think that Shannon is the most honest commentator I've heard in a long time and I always look for his articles on the net.
Personally, I'm looking forward to hearing Jerome opine about the game.

I think Bettis will be good in the booth.  i've thought that he would ever since he first came up with the Rams.  he has a great personality that'll come through.

I agree that Shannon Sharp is smart but it seems to be that he talks to fast for his mouth at times.

I like Mike Golick (sp?) from Mike and Mike in the morning.
