I am agnostic, and don't really care to have one. But my kids are curious and I want to educate them on the bible. I just don't want to go into a church or support their efforts by buying a bible.

Are there any websites that will mail a free bible to you without sending the minions to your door?

Click the "bible search" at the top of this page for a free one.

I pick up a few copies from time to time at the Family Bookstore when they are on sale to keep in my cabinet at work just in case someone asks.

Where are you at?

Go to an independent Baptist Church and ask for one...

Most churches have Bibles to give away to new adherents. Just ask.
Also the Holeman Christian Standard Bible has a digital version that can be downloaded for free from Kobo for use on the Blackberry Playbook.

I uses the interwebz for mine:

Also, you can download a searchable Bible for free from e-sword.

Steal a Gideon one from a hotel room. I'm a Gideon and we LOVE it when they are stolen!  But be careful reading it might change you forever!

Ironically, the cost for a hotel room would probably be 100 bucks + - Stiff price for a Gideon.

Johnb

Or just ask a Gideon and the will give you one..
Wildjc You need to start using priceline to book your rooms and name your own price. ::smile::

The Bible is a pretty big and daunting book. You might start with a New Testament.

If you teach the Bible to your children as an agnostic, beware that as an unbeliever you will be prone to misinterpretation.

Learn it yourself. I know you said you don´t care for one yourself but please re-consider.

God is real and there is no greater blessing for your family than you getting to know Him.
Especially if you as the head of the family know God, you will be able to teach your wife and children, which will be a blessing for them.

We all need God. You just don´t know it yet.

P.S. I was an agnostic until 6 months ago.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
(Matthew 7:7)

Plenty of free ebook Bibles.  This is the 21st century.

Go buy a cheap paperback Bible.  The couple of dollars it costs means no one is making a profit from you.

And of course now you never misinterpret.

What´s your point?

Are you even a Christian? Undermining my effort to tell this man that God exists and the Bible is true and that he should take it serious? Do you care if he and his family find Christ? I pray for them. Do you?

I don´t know everything. Thanks for the reminder.
I know I (need to) depend on God for my understanding.
