Haven't posted on here in quite a while.  This is gonna be a bit strange, but here goes.

I started talking to this girl, Angela, about a year ago.  I went to the college she went to, but I transferred out, moved back home, and started going to a community college. We talked all the time on Facebook and even started skyping quite a bit around August.  She got to talking about dating, but I wasn't entirely sure.  She and I had a whole state between us, making it at least an 8 hour drive.  I hate long distance relationships, but eventually we started dating, around December.  She came to visit after Christmas...and we got a little physical.  I've done things with her that I haven't done with any other girl before (obviously sexual).  Even before we started dating, we would "talk dirty" on Skype.  But on the flip side, I LOVED her personality.  We both clicked very well.  Then she came to visit again in February, and we did more sexual stuff.  Ironically though, I felt like we were closer because of it.  We still included God in our lives and did devotions daily on Skype.

I broke up with her a little more than a month ago, because I couldn't handle the long distance and I just want to focus on school right now.  Physical Therapy is a LONG journey and I don't want my schoolwork to suffer because I have a girlfriend.  It took her a couple days, but she understood and we are still friends now (no dirty talk).

About a week after the break up, I felt as if a co-worker was flirting with me, or at least dropping hints that we should date.  Even a manager insisted that we would be a great couple.  I dropped hints that I don't want a girlfriend right now and would not date a co-worker, and I feel as if she has gotten the point.

Here's the problem.  I'm flattered that she liked me and now she's on my mind all the time.  She's my best friend that is a girl at work, but I know I can't date her.  She's not even a Christian!  It's especially hard when all I'm looking for right now is a friend.  I'm very social and I feel as if I'm at a loss with friends at this point in my life.  The only close-ish friends I have right now are at work, and they are in a different town.  Can anybody relate?  I just to hear a story that is similar

How about getting to a good friendly church and mixing with godly young people as friends only. I would concentrate on God for a few years before you date anyone. I dont think you are ready for any sort of serious relationship. Stay right away from any talking dirty on skype or anywhere else, and stay away from sexual activities until you are married.
MY thoughts

IStillHaventFound...

Making friends is difficult for me too. I find that I can make female friends more easily than male friends. However, I find that females pretty much only want to be my friend if there is some hope that more could follow. So I tend to go from relationship to relationship separated by periods of loneliness.

However, I have made some progress in that department. I have been making some male friends lately. It did require effort and a willingness to befriend guys that are quite a bit different than me, i.e, not educated, not interested in physical fitness, not the same hobbies, etc.

Thanks for the support guys :)

IStillHaventFound, I'm in the same spot you are, although I feel as if I make friends fairly easy.
