Proof of God

This is supposed to be a forum for Christians, yet while it's plastered with ads whoring for tat I'm not allowed to post a link to a book that FIGHTS ATHEISM.

Whoever is running this site, you should be as ashamed of yourselves as I am DISGUSTED. You FRAUDS.

Lol-- slow down a little proof for God. Please read the rules. You have to make so many posts before you can post any links.

Funny how they didn't see these so called ads before they went to the trouble of registering?

In any case whatever offends them can be easily corrected if they have the Opera or Firefox browser and add-on the program, Ad Block Plus.

Problem solved.

::pondering::  Hmmm...

Looks like a little grace to season the speech is needed and a bit of "slow your roll" advice.  No need to lop off people's ears, PoG.  Have just a mustard seed of patience and show yourself to be mature and able to cope when you don't get your way immediately.  Good-ness!  ::eatingpopcorn:

I've never really thought about the ads before, they are there but  my eyes never see them..after the OP mentioned them, my first that was what adds?

Self-promotion is against the forum rules...as is posting links when you have fewer than 20 posts.  There are posts all over the place encouraging you to read the forum rules before you post.  Had you done so, you would know that this is a place for discussion, it is not and ad board for you to promote yourself.

As for the ads, this site has little control over the ads that are posted.  All the administrator can do is block inappropriate ads and for this, he has asked for help from the wider forum community.  There is a thread where you can report questionable ads and they will be blocked.  This is an ongoing battle as advertisers continue to push the limits of taste.  If you would have looked before posting you would see that thread is at the very top of this forum.

Flaming the owners will not change the fact that you violated four forum rules in your first two posts.  It is violation of those rules for which you are being held accountable, not the content of the book you wrote and tried to promote here.

Proof of God

I am promoting the fight against atheism and the manifest harm caused to millions by the likes of Dawkins. I'd have thought any Christian community would have said "hang the rules, let's get solidly behind this!"

Apparently not, for whatever bizarre reason.

Nevertheless

PoG, you are a guest here. If you do not like the rules you are free to find a site that is more to your liking.

What's more bizarre to me, is that you think YOU and YOUR cause should be above any rules.  What YOU are doing is far more important than the reasons established here for how this forum functions and you think you should be allowed to throw a hissy fit and call the board at large a bunch of frauds.  ::shrug::

Hmmm.  To some it seems that "properly and in order" means doing it MY way and everyone else be hanged.

+1, I don't see the ads here or on any other forum or even FB for that matter. Best solution.

I have Opera as my browser and their extension Ad Block Plus. There is an option tab there that allows you to add a filter to the blockable items. If you happen on an ad at a website that you want to block just mouse to it and right click to get the ad URL. Copy that and then paste it in the window on ABP where it lets you add your own filter. Refresh the page your on and that ad should disappear for good.

Great extension and browser combo.

Nevertheless

Ad Block Plus also allows you to block images. I use it quite often on the flashing, blinking or twirling images that some like to put in their signatures.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

If  we  want to  fight  against  atheism, which we all should, we  should fight with weapons  that  have a chance of  working.

The only offensive weapon we have  capable of  such a fight is the"sword of the  spirit  which is the  word of God."

anger, frustration and fear  are not weapons capable of doing damage to atheism.

Political battles  are  not ours to fight, our fight is  for the  hearts and minds in individuals. The gospel is  what can penetrate their hardened hearts.

Want to fight  atheism?    Ask God  to give you a heart  for lost people  then ask God to give you  the opportunity  to love  those  lost people, then the opportunity to serve those  lost  people, then maybe  if  you  are prepared  God  will give  you the opportunity to answer their questions..
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect
