You cannot date

There is only marriage ...or remaining unmarried.
No dating, no sleeping around which is fornication.
In fact Jesus and Paul say its better to remain unmarried

If you are to get married, you have one chance.  One marriage only. If you divorce you cannot get remarried.

Not so fast. That may be true, and it may not be true. Would like to debate me on this subject? Btw, been with the same woman for over fifty years, so I do believe that there are very small biblical allowance for remarring WHILE your first spouse is living.

Where does the Bible say that we cant get to know a potential partner by meeting up with them and going out? Cant say I have ever read that in the Bible.

Hard to see how we would ever marry if we didn't do that. In Bible times people were generally married off early, they had little choice, that doesn't happen now, so we do need to make sure we are marrying the right person by getting to know them.

God created us as people who marry and have children. Be fruitful and multiply.

Its being told by both Jesus and Paul in the Scriptures placed in the OP, that it IS better to remain single.

Read this.

Marriage is Gods idea, and His intention was always for a man and a woman to be one and have children.

If you think that the single life is for you thats great, but of course we would have all died out if everyone remained single.

No where in the Bible are we told that we cannot get to know the person we are to marry. As long as we don't have sex, dating is important.

You're correct, we cannot contradict Jesus. The good thing is that Jesus never condemned dating so contradicting is unnecessary.

Those that follow Jesus have a job to teach all those around the world what Jesus teaches and to obey him.

I suggest;


1) you get a better grasp on scripture
2) develop a different method of administering the gospel
3) stop preaching to the choir, you do not know anymore than anyone else here, it is only your personal views that lead you to make ridiculous claims.

The thing that you are ignoring is that Jesus or God never forbade any sort of dating/getting to know a prospective marriage partner.
You are making that up. Yes we are forbidden from having sex outside marriage, but not to get to know that person in other ways.
