I've read many research studies that say men in general think about sex daily, a lot. Many of these research studies are conducted with men professing to be Christ following believers. How many of you wives if any have actually talked to your husband about this? I fall into that category and it's about my wife but we've never talked about it as I think she would be kind of freaked out. It's definitely caused me/us problems holding those thoughts inside for years.

Men like women are all very different. I am sure that some think about sex daily and some don't.

Of course there is truth in some do and some don't but certain tendencies seem to run true in men and women.

Yes, you're right. For a while now, people have claimed men have a sexual thought every 7 seconds. That has pretty much been debunked. Seems like the consensus is men have a sexual thought - on average - about 18 times a day, and women have a sexual thought about 9 times a day. So since your wife is also having sexual thoughts throughout the day, why would she be shocked and why would this cause any kind of problem?

BTW, when a woman feeds her man a steady diet of soy products, he probably doesn't think about sex nearly as much as men not consuming soy products.  ::noworries::

It's funny you bring up Soy, I have always stayed away from it because of the estrogen. Well, we're going out tonight to just talk and I'm going to tell her this. No, not about the Soy!

I think she might have a problem with me thinking about having sex with her too much. Meaning, she might think I put too much thought/time on it.

In my experience there is a massive variation in this. Its not just comparing men to women but comparing men to each other.
We are all different in these things no matter what some surveys/statistics say.

Also just a thought, we can choose what we think about and what we allow to dwell in our minds. People seem surprised by that, buts its so true. If its not helpful for us to constantly be thinking about something then we need to curtail that and replace those thoughts with different things. Its a discipline.

I read of a poll done on a college campus that asked men and women how often they thought of sex each day.  On that particular campus, the women who answered the poll thought of sex more often each day than the men who answered the poll.  Of course, that may have  been a very liberal campus.

While you know your wife best, it probably wouldn't hurt to set down and have a talk with her about your daily thoughts of sexual intimacy.  Who knows, she might be having more thoughts on that subject than you!
