Excellent movie.

It lives up to all expectations having been so successful and still is on the stage.

Mere Nick

Yes it is.  My daughter bought me the dvd.  A very entertaining flick.

We saw it on the stage in New York a few years ago.   When the movie came out,  I didn't really want to go because I figured it would be a pale imitation.
However, at my wife's insistence,  I went anyway.

Certainly you couldn't compare the movie with the stage performance,  but it was really very good,  and the actress who played Christine had a particularly good voice. (I understand that with the exception of Minnie Driver,  all the actors did their own singing.)

david johnson

a really good movie version of the musical.
