FAQ: How is it not a miscarriage of justice to allow folks to circumvent their responsibility simply by believing Jesus died for their sins and rose again?

POSIT: In some mysterious way that has thus far eluded my sense of fair play; God accounts Christ's followers as joint principals with him in his crucifixion.

Rom 6:3 . . Don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

Rom 6:8 . . We died with Christ,

Gal 2:20 . . I am crucified with Christ

And that's the way God much prefers sinners to face the wrath of God. The default alternative is the great white throne event depicted at Rev 20:11-15 where those who fail to be accounted crucified with Christ will face the wrath of God via a mode of death akin to a foundry worker falling into a kettle of molten iron.

FAQ: How would someone go about becoming a joint principal in Jesus' crucifixion?

POSIT: Find a quiet moment. Cover your face with your hands for a sense of privacy and simply speak with God saying, in so many words:

"God, I'm a sinner with a lot to answer for. I would like to be accounted crucified with your son if I may. Thank You."

FAQ: How was Jesus' human sacrifice not illegal seeing as Rom 1:3, Gal 4:4, and Heb 7:14 attest that he was a Jew born under the jurisdiction of the covenant that Moses' people agreed upon with God per Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy? Wasn't he limited to the atonements specified in that covenant the same as all other Jews?

Deut 4:2 . .You shall not add anything to what I command you or take anything away from it, but keep the commandments of The Lord your God that I enjoin upon you.

Deut 5:29-30 . . Be careful, then, to do as The Lord your God has commanded you. Do not turn aside to the right or to the left: follow only the path that The Lord your God has enjoined upon you.

REPLY: First off: note that the language and grammar of Isa 53:4-10 is past tense rather than future: indicating that Christ's crucifixion was over and done with prior to Isaiah's prophecy.

FAQ: How so?

REPLY: The laws of God are not retroactive. (Deut 5:2-4, Rom 4:15, Rom 5:13 & Gal 3:17) Therefore, the cross didn't breach the covenant because Christ was designated, and scheduled, to die for the sins of the world prior to both the world and Moses' covenant. (1Pet 1:20 & Rev 13:8)
