He reminds me of Beto on steroids.
What a bizarre conjoining of politics and blasphemous religious beliefs.

Does anybody actually know anything about any candidates, other than the (R) or (D) next to their name?

Only about 20% of the voters know anything at all about the candidates they vote for.

I think that is because we only get what they put into ads, or the parties put out on them. And most times that is to counter what the opposition says negatively.

Sometimes stuff comes out that shows their true nature.
Example: Thomas Massie claiming to be "principled" but was giving his dead wife's jewelry to lovers instead of handing it down to his own daughter.

I think there should be a law that if one has ever served in public office from local and state to the Feds they are disqualified from every running again and only new blood, as it were, would be allowed to run. JMO

While we're going down the wish list-
There's no need for them to live in D.C., or even be there that much. In this age of communication, they can keep themselves at home in their own districts and do a bunch of zoom meetings or whatever. That separate life they live in D.C. is one big open invitation to mischief, in every way.
