I love to see you praise God like that, Josh!

I feel a crown sprouting up on my head at this very moment ...

Hallelujah!

For God so loved the world that He sent His one and only Son...
Holy are you God! Great are you! Just are you! Perfect you truly are! You are more abundantly amazing than all the words of man, far beyond our greatest ability to love, our God our God, our glorious God! Praaaaise unto You and only You for all time to the ends of all men, forever amen!

having a powerful, unceasing prayer life is a pillar in life a Christian. so how do we get there? one day, one hour at a time...
looking back at my prayer time i can honestly point out a trend... i spend the most time beseaching God in my own interests... please forgive me of this and that and that, too; please give me the strength and wisdom to serve you and others better; please bless me with this thing or that;...
an important part of prayer is certainly supplication... God loves for us to come to Him in faith and humility; He's thrilled with the idea of throwing open His barn door of blessing and showering us from above...
:announceit: "but, wait, there's more!"

sometimes it's harder to focus on Him and thanking Him and praising Him than it is to focus on us... amen? :noddingsmiley:

so this thread is just a reminder... let's raise some LOVE up to God! let Him know how much you truly appreciate Him! if we set our eyes on Him and unite in the resounding echo of joyous praise from the halls of our heart, our differences can fade away... our selfish desires or hopes for ourselves can take second place...
don't stop imploring God on your behalf or the behalf of those on your mind... by no means!
but everytime you stop at this little corner, let's raise a note of abundant overflowing praise, a hundred posts in a row if you're so inclined, all to the glory of He who first loved us...

I just gotta yell Hallelujah!!! sometimes! :bowsmiley: know what i mean?

my God, oh my God, how great you are, how amazing is your love for me. i praise you, upraise you, and glorify your holy name to ends of the earth, through every corner of my heart and mind and soul and strength; oh HALLELUJAH! my King and Father and merciful, loving Lord!

This is one time those cute little anagrams help me.

"ACTS" -

Affirmation
Confession
Thanksgiving
Supplication

Not that I have a rigid formula, and can't pray in supplication until I grind out the prerequisites first!  It's just a reminder for me-
to glorify God first, to remind myself and admit to Him how mighty He looks to me -
to admit my faults and flaws and sins and the ways I desire to grow for Him -
to thank Him, praise Him, (here's where Josh's shouting of "hallelujah"! comes in), because He is Who He Is -
then, after a time of getting my mind off of myself, I return to my needs and the needs of others, and hold them up to my Father.  He actually cares to hear about them- and He can do something about them.

Yes!

:amen:

The Lord is worthy!

Renee

I thank you Lord for standing in the gap for all of us. It is so wonderful to learn of you and all your precious ways. I thank you for the love you surround us with each day. I plead that you help each one of your children to grow stronger in your service. Amen

Renee
