Nick nailed it. Hillary woulda never left this stone unturned in her power quest. Not in a million years!

Yep.  If he even leaves skid marks in his drawers Hillary would have found out about it.

Well, some folks figure since Bush created Katrina and steered it into New Orleans, he must have blown up the WTC.

Risian technology no doubt!

None, sir.  None.

Jaime

I can visualize James Carville getting his teeth into this during the campaign!

QuoteIt appears to serve Obama's political interests to let this conspiracy theory ride.  It certainly appears to have the hallmarks of a good conspiracy, what with a few seemingly loose looking threads and all.

Let's see:  The Kennedy conspiracy has lasted how many years?  I wonder how long Obama can milk this one to keep the heat off his real agenda---taking us into to pure socialism in many areas of life!  THe government will own or control business and will dole out medicine to those they find worthy, not to mention retirement, and everything else they already have their hands into!

One last Jaimeism. If conservatives look stupid over this, what do liberals look like since the election once the country found out that CHANGE meant, for the worst?

There's plenty of stupid to go around.

WileyClarkson

KMV,

We want to see the certified copy from hawaii which has not been produced as of yet and then we want to compare the two and have both checked for authenticity.  If the Kenya BC is real and authentic, it overides the Hawaii BC.  If the Kenya is a fake, and the hawaii bc is certified, it would end the entire question and it would allow us to concentrate on the hidden agenda of our President and defeating the socialist agenda he is pushing.  Since Obama won't produce a certified copy of the Hawaii BC, it appears that he has something to hide.  Where there is smoke, there is fire.

marc

Huh????????

That was primarily to Jaime's post, which I have no idea what it meant, but it goes for Wiley's as well.  There's a link to the official Hawaii BC earlier in this thread.

Bon Voyage

Obama is actually one of the mutant mole people that live in the earth's core.  They have a certified birth certificate, and I learned this from this guy who knows this guy who knows this guy who knows this guy who knows this guy who saw the birth certificate.

Marc, you don't uinderstand that there is enough stupid for both sides in this political circus?

I just get tired of liberals saying this or that makes conservtives look stupid. Change for the worst and the blind  hope for it was stupid, in my humble non-racist opinion..

marc

I think everybody wants to see those Obama girls taken down a notch, too.  Not to mention the dog.

jaime, have you considered pressuring conservatives to stop doing things that make them look stupid, rather than getting mad at liberals for pointing it out?

You didn't get my point. I also have mentioned in this thread that this issue makes us look bad, but I'm tired of hearing it from people who's policy champions are making the country look stupid. And I'm especially tired of the innuendo of racism being bantered about.

It would be easier on you if we'd stop pointing out that your team looks stupid, rather than you having to persuade your team to stop looking stupid.

Why don't you spend your time trying to persuade "your team" to stop looking stupid?  I don't remember you decrying folks who believed GWB was behind Katrina, the WTC attacks, etc.

Aren't those guys pretty much silenced already?  What 'mainstream' liberals are proposing that Bush caused 9/11 or Katrina?

Now, we are talking about Bush causing Katrina, not Bush responding ineptly to Katrina, right?

I'll do a search now to see how many liberals on this site have claimed Bush caused 9/11, and see what my response to them was.

OldDad

It's amazing that liberals are so surprised/shocked/outraged/offended that some conservatives have "returned the volley" - slinging the same kind of hate-filled, half-truth screeds that liberals rained down on GWB and Co. for 8 years.

I think it's wrong and I'm truly disappointed that some conservatives are behaving poorly - but it should surprise no one - certainly not those who never let up for 8 freaking years.

I don't care if they are on this site or not, and those liberals are more mainstream than you think.  You are just as partisan as anyone else here, and you are trying to act like you are not.  Partisans repeat talking points.  Just keep on keepin' on.

Well, you wanted to know why I don't spend my time persuading liberals not to claim GWB caused 9/11.  How exactly do you proposed I satisfy your curiosity?  If you have some evidence (presumably from this site) of me ignoring such claims by liberals, point it out.  Otherwise, your comment's pretty worthless, isn't it?

I never claimed to be non-partisan.  I do think if conservatives are going to post idiotic lies, then they need to expect others to point that out.

Don't get mad at me because some conservatives are making your cause look stupid.

fwiw, any time I've seen claims that Bush was behind 911, I've criticized the conspiracy nut theory.  It didn't show up all that much on this board, however, and I don't recall regular poster pushing it.

QuoteThe unsurprising conclusion: you can't reason with arch partisans.

marc

Which of these "thirds" tends to post on this board?

Jaime

marc

btw, I'm curious about exactly what the first sentence of the link means.

"Fully 35 percent of Democrats believe George W. Bush had advance knowledge of the 9/11 terrorist attacks."

Does this mean that he knew the attack was going to happen or that a memo passed across Condaleeza Rice's desk saying it was possible that terrorists could fly jets into buildings?  These are two very different things, and I would guess there might be confusion among those answering the poll.

Jaime

I don't know Marc, both would probably qualify as pretty far-fetched, one maybe less so than the other.

I remember a poll I saw a couple of years ago that reference 35 percent of Democrats at some point after 911 agreed with the 911 Truthers. I haven't had much time to look for any such link, and I could be mistaken.

marc

In fairness, the memo that Rice received on August 6, 2001 referred only to the possibility of AQ hijacking planes, not of them using them as weapons.

The memo is a fact, however.  Rice has testified about it before congress, I believe.

This doesn't, of course, mean that Bush knew about the attack that was coming, but the fact that he knew there was some threat could likely confuse the poll question.

Jaime

marc

btw, the memo that suggested a plane might be hijacked and used as a missle against a building such as the Pentagon was dated 1999, during the Clinton administration.
