I am strange, many of you  are probably saying in unison " Amen". My husband is cooking a very health diet, because he needs to lose weight. I am a person who has went three days not eating anything, but my ricecakes, and Ice (frozen water) I crave these foods all the time. I will not eat most things. I get obsessed with one food. The worst thing he wants of all things liver and onions. I cannot bear anything like that, or fish, chicken, vegtables except green beans, and no fruit. My mother said as baby, I was the same way, a tiny baby. Do you think a person can retrain their bran to eat right? I know a balanced diet is of God. I am very anemic, very, an mom said I was that way as a baby also. How would you go about, doing the right thing? I do change food obsessions on occasion, but not often. I like spaghetti, with olive oil, forgot that.  I need help here, tyring to be better with nutrition. I make my girls, but, have such a hardtime. Kinda need to modify thi thread, I am trying to say, certian cravings are overwhelming, and hate things that are healthy.

                   Thanks

Liver and onions, Walker, you can come and have left overs to take home. I am trying to eat more healthy, cut down to one bag of rice cakes a day. I will try water, some instead of caffeine free diet coke. I will try watermelon. My goal for the week. The liver and onions and fish, I could not, I think I might die (LOL)

janine

Oh, Lord.  She wants to cut down to one bag of rice cakes a day.

Styrofoam and air, she eats!

God bless you, love, you eat like an anorexic.

0h no! it would warp my mind for life, worse than it is now,if possible ::help::

janine

People who crave ice have a problem.  I bet it has to do with your anemia.

And crunching ice makes micro-cracks in your tooth enamel.  Not good.

As for the OP, "would you eat anything if you were hungry?"...

Cherie, I am a Cajun.  That is your answer.

janine

Right now I'm boiling up a pot of Brussels sprouts.  Will likely eat them all myself.  Yum.

Bon Voyage

It just occurred  to me that the real answer would depend one what hungry means. ::smile::

How few people understand how their diet effects their spirtuality.

God, is first concerned with our bodies.......
Romans  12:1   I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.

12:2   And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

AND...the will of God is that we eat foods, that best attain to health.

God, has the Health message that is directly related to the Gospel.

And anyone who studies their Bible wil recognize this fact.

Appetite, is a main theme throughtout Scripture.

1.) Adam & Eve fell on the point of appetite (Genesis 3:4).

2.) Jesus Christ was tempted by satan on the point of appetite (Matthew 4:4).

3.) The Mark of the Beast scenerio, in on the point of appetitie (Revelation, chapter 13:15-17).

God (Jesus Christ) has shown that appetite has been the destructive force in people's lives.....all thru the Bible.

In fact, there is a Bible verses which shows that when Jesus Christ comes again...that people who eat the wrong foods, will be destroyed at HIS Coming (Isaiah 66:15-17)

Bon Voyage

Your message is false, your misuse of scripture is evident with the following from God's Word:

1 Tim 4

1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

6If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. 7Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
