Did God really tell him she was the one? Or wishful thinking?

Just wondering what people feel about this issue:

Someone believes God told them that this particular girl is the one for him.

She doesnt feel the same way.  In fact, she told him over and over that she is not interested.

And God hasnt told her the same thing.

The girl wants to find a partner and settle down - but not with him - definately not.

She cant get through to him in any way. He is coming across as being obsessed.

She mentioned that maybe he wanted a girlfriend so much that he wanted God to say she is the one for him.

We have to be careful when we say God spoke to us, dont we?

So, what do people think? esp when she is so adamant that there is NO chance for them? ::pondering:: ::pondering:: ::pondering:: ::pondering:: ::pondering:: ::pondering::

To me it seems that he is not hearing from God. In my experience people will claim that God told them all sorts of things becauyse THEY want it to be true. If he really felt that God had said this then why did he tell her? He should have waited till God had also spoken to her (if she was really the one) If she is not interested at all, then he needs to leave it and put it down to experience.
If he keeps on at her, is putting pressure on her, and telling her this, then he needs to be told by maybe a leader or pastor that he should stay away from her.

But I think you still have to act.  Praying is great & needed 100%, but God will also direct your path.  I have a friend who says, "God will bring along the right person for me", yet she is 42 and still single & she has been saying this for 13 years.

I'm sure you have heard....."When God shuts one door, he opens another"......sure thats true BUT you still have to act.  God isn't going to drop a spouse on your doorstep.  At least he never has for me.    rofl

I'm sure it is just wishful thinking, as I don't know how many times I have seen a woman that if I just left it to the physical side I was sure God told me this was the woman for me, but when I look at the spiritual and emotional side of it I could tell God was saying NO!

I asked the Lord if my girlfriend was the one and He said she was. I did tell here until we were in enaged and had a wedding day set. We were married 9 months after we met.

I once heard of a women who was convinced that God had told her that her pastor was to be her husband. The thing is that he was already married.
