I don't have a Valentine, do you?  I don't agree with buying people off but there are certainly some nice things to buy for a Valentine (assuming you had one).

If I had a Valentine I would hope they would get me a Ronnie Lott #42 throwback jersey.

*dreamy*

Anyone else?

Females!

That's the one good thing about being single is not having to worry about Valentines Day (;

Don't be jealous of my new jersey that I might get myself for V-day, Seva!  ::noworries::

I'm sorry. My valentines day is Feb 15 instead....Same candy 1/2 the price.  ::noworries::

- From myself-My family always exchanges candy. We don't go and by those ridiculous $40 boxes of candy. It's just big business using guilt you into think love comes from money.

-Like love has anything to do with chocolate or candy or any of the other nic knacks they sell around this time.

I was just joking yesterday with a co-worker that if I should get married, I'll make sure that we celebrate on Feb 15th for this very reason! Why pay more? I wouldn't hold a grudge if he found only picked over goods. Heck, he could bring home a gumball from a quarter machine and I'd be happy!
I joked saying "If he (imaginary hubbie), truly loved me, he'd buy more for less..." ::dancingbanana::

That's a joke of course! I actually think anyone who expects 'things' as proof of love has no idea what love is.

For my son,

All kinds of candy and of course a valentines day card...

For my fiance'....

Dinner at Amerigos. Complete with me smaking down on some Mussels and of course some Tarimisu.

BUT...

I kinda like doing the group thing for Valentines day...get together with all of the Singles in my Sunday School class and we all go out together as a group...that is my wish...won't get it though.

comfy

I have someone I like, but I'm satisfied she may not be for me. But I might get her a plant that she can water and keep alive. I would do this just to express that I appreciate her; it would not be meant to get her to love me, but just to show I appreciate sharing with her.

Starry Night

Brother Matthew, another single, wanted to take me out for dinner and booked a nice restaurant, but I decided to cook and rid the extra food sitting in my fridge instead. I ended up making lamb chop with mustard, garlic roasted potatoes and carrot sticks with cucumber and almond dip. All turned out as good as it sounds  ::yummy::. We talked about relationships and how getting over the 1st love is usually the hardest.

To cheer me up, he also got me half a dozen orangy pink roses which smelt like rose candy (think the last time I received flowers from a guy was...too long to remember honestly). So it was a blessing of a V day for me considering I just got out of a 2 year relationship in Jan'11.

Sounds fun Starry!

By the way, that song "Starry Night" is one of my favorites :)
