hello, i am new to the site and was just lookin for a place like thise to get godly advice on something i have been struggling with, well here it goes. i just recently got a home with my mother and im 26 yrs old and i have 3 children but am currently seperated from my wife at the moment. im trying to live as a christian but struggle with drinking. me and my mother got our home through the grace of god and wanna turn our home into a christian home but i do not feel it is do to the fact that i still drink. i have just recently got a job offer as a live in security guard at a motel and my mother has asked me if im ready to go into the world yet and be on my own due to my problem with drinking and my past problem with drugs, but more importantly she asked me if i was right with god and im not sure if i should take the job or continue to stay here and deal with my problem before entering the deviles land. i wanna live a better life for myself and my children but more importantly god, but im not sure that with the problem i have if i am ready to deal with this matter. we got our home so i could change my life and we live next to a church that we say we are gonna go to but never do and we have been slacking on our bible studies and im not sure what to think about this job offer. could this job be from god or a bump in the road to get me off track?

God has opened a door for you and bid you to come as He did with Peter when he walked on water. If you doubt, you can sink and hear His voice saying O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

If you're having problems with things that detract from following the Lord you cannot blame Satan because James 1:14 says every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. If you do fail it sounds as if you have a loving and forgiving mother who has your back.

May God bless you to not be afraid, help you to make right decisions, and to have a Christian walk that will glorify Him. You get into a Christian fellowship that helps and supports you to grow up in the things of God that will benefit you all your life.

Welcome to these forums and blessings in Christ Jesus.  ::smile::
