Banner ads - how to reset?

Apparently something got picked up by the website banner ads and is trying to display forbidden content. Every one right now has a blocking message on it. Since all I see is the blocker I do not even know what offending site is.

I have rebooted, logged out and back in, cleaned out the history and cache, and it keeps coming back up. Even tried a different browser.

Any ideas?

It is the banner ad and all the ads in the middle of the page.  What I see is the screen from the network admin saying the content was blocked and potentially illegal.  (federal gov't network)

I would love to live without the ads.

This morning they seem to be back to normal.  If they had continued as they were, I could not be here as it would eventually trigger a visit from the cyber security office accusing me of trying (repeatedly) to access illegal content.

Their investigation of the ads would probably result in this whole website being blocked.
