Being single it makes seeing all of the Valentine's Day stuff out, especially since because of being beat down verbally and emotionally as a child by not only kids at school but  mother, and later on sister too, plus a manager later on that did it to everybody I struggle with thinking that I'm not good enough for a boyfriend.

I was thinking of something that a couple of friends of mine had said.  They reminded me that we are the Bride of Christ and He is our husband until God brings our spouse into our life.  I guess He always is but the point is He'll provide us with the love that we desire.  I was thinking about possibly having a "date" with Jesus on Valentine's Day.  Maybe do something like a long drive talking to Him, grab something for dinner, stargazing and nature walk to admire His creation, then coming home to listen to soaking music and imagining Jesus holding me in His arms.  What do you guys think?  Does this go too far?  Is it something you might do?  If you would do something like this do you have any ideas on other things to do that night, or if it's going too far, do you have any ideas of things to do that night?

I think it's a great idea. I heard a pastor saying once that we should always be aware of Jesus's presence with us all the time because He is always there. I once felt really lonely when I first moved to a new city and I went out on a date with Jesus. I went out to dinner and was aware of His presence with me and I spent some time at a nearby park, praying and reading my bible. One Valentine's Day before I met my bf, I wrote a love letter to Jesus telling him how much his love means to me. It really helped me and I got closer to the Lord too! I'm sorry you are feeling so alone as Valentine's Day approaches. I'm thinking of you and hoping that you have a great date with Jesus!  ::clappingoverhead::
