This is probably the most of baggage that I'm carrying right now.

So I met a woman online who I have common interests with. She is a born again Christian with an amazing testimony of overcoming. So we found each other and all her info, pictures, and stuff was valid.  ::smile::  And since she was coming up to my area for a concert, I talked with her... and wondered if she wanted to spend daylight together to meet in person and talk before she goes to her concert that night. So we successfully met in March and went out in public to shop and have fun. The chemistry was so matching that a few hours later we started holding hands and being close.

So after dinner, I took her there. We were talking about post-concert meeting and she asked, "Well... would it be cool if after the show I stop by and show you pictures of the show?"

Later on that night, we viewed pictures and I think she fell asleep on me. So by the time, we came to our senses, I saw the clock hit 2AM. I was a little alert and I let her know. Then she asked, "Is it cool if I sleep over? I live an hour away and I don't want to fall asleep on the highway." So I compromised... sadly... and dishonored God by telling her we can go up to my room and take a nice nap before she works in the noon. I made sure to wear long clothes so the enemy would not tempt me to have sex with her.

Thru the weekend, she felt bad. We talked over Voxer and texting and she told me she prayed and we need to slow down. If we really are friends, then we need to keep it that way for a while and get to know each other more. I agreed, and we talked from there and goofed off on the phone. It was all good.  ::smile::

But then on St. Patrick's Day, I found out that night before I worked that I no longer had access to her Facebook. It looked like she blocked me or deactivated. So I confronted her Monday afternoon in texting. And her long text was (not exactly), "I got a word from God last night and he forgave me for laying together. But He also told me that the consequences of doing that is to cut you off and drop you from everything. I hate to do this and I'm sorry, but I am not going to dishonor God. And if I were you, I would stay close to Him for your sake because it's getting bad out there and you'll get left behind if you don't stay close."

TO THIS DAY: I am over her and I'm trying to tell myself she no longer exists and I never met her. But it also leads to this deep FEAR that the next girl I meet is going to do the same thing to me or... that because the fire of God was in this woman, that maybe God will eventually tell all my friends to let me go or keep away from me (like Cain in the book of Genesis). It makes me think something horrible is about to happen to me (like I'm going to go to prison or I may lose my home I live in). I do repent of ever going fast in the pace of a relationship that was suppose to honor God. I'm sorry I compromised. I am aware I do deserve this outcome for the way I acted. But if it's going to happen again and again... then why get close to people? I need wisdom from Godly people right now.

I think my best advice is to take these fearful thoughts captive.  Just cry out to God when they overwhelm you and cause you to suffer from anxiety.

God loves you, He has not given you a spirit of fear, but power love and sound mind.  He knows the plans He has for you, and this girl wasn't in them...BUT..what is taken away, God will replenish!  He will not forsake you, even if your friends were to abandon you (which is NOT likely!!!).  He promises He will never leave you!

True defiance, no, God isn't going to tell everyone to keep away from you, He loves you to bits. To be honest it was her who made it happen that she came back to your place and asked to stay the night, so quite why God would tell her to cut YOU off I don't know. Yes it was foolish to lie on a bed with her when you barely knew each other, but you didn't do anything, so put it behind you, learn from it, and move on. Also you need to remember that people will say God told them things when they didn't. I have heard that happen many times, and they can 'use' that to do things that they themselves want to do(IE end the relationship with you), because God 'told' them to. If you get my meaning.
She wasn't the girl for you, God has forgiven you, so keep on the path. ::smile::

People often mistake their own hurting conscience or the accusation of the devil for the voice of God. Or those sources append their own agenda onto something God may genuinely be saying. My opinion is that is what she did.

It was not from God, at least not all of it.

You guys gave some stellar advice blessed by God. Thank you.

I understand she wasn't the one for me or we're not even meant to be friends for a reason. It was just something new that hit me hard.
But yeah... whoever doesn't judge me because of it - I am blessed to have in my life. And if anyone holds it against me, they don't need to be in my life.

Moving on.  ::amen!::
