To Know is to Serve

How can they not know the Church Jesus built upon the rock?

How can they not know, John the Baptist used water for Baptism?

How can they not know if the religious organization they worship in has apostolic succession?

How can they not know the origins of the Holy Bible?

How can they not know, it is written in the Holy Bible you are vain and your faith is dead without works?

How can they not know it is written in the Holy Bible to stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle?

How can they not know the church the Saints belong to? Many of  these Saints died for that faith..

How can they not know they crucify Christ daily by their sins and are in the need of being in the state of sanctifying grace in hopes of saving their soul?

How can they not know that making reparation for sin is better than following Satan by refusing to serve, only to end up in Hell?

How can they not know the origins of Dogma and Theology?

How can they not know they worship on a humanistic level and not on the Divine Supernatural level?

How can they not know they have no unity at the origins of their religious structure?

THEY ARE GUILTY AS CHARGED!

How can they not know that it is only through the death of Jesus that we are saved and become part of the body of Christ, and not through any particular church or denomination?

I repeat what I said. It is through Christ ALONE that we are saved. Not through a church or denomination or by obeying man made rules, regulations or traditions.

The Catholic Church acknowledges that I am saved, and I am not part of that visible church.

How could you not know that?

Did you know the Church Jesus built upon the rock?

MIke> Sure my Bible tell jesus is the chief corner stone and the rock of m salvation
Did you know, John the Baptist used water for Baptism?

Yes I read all about it my Bible and followed the admonition

Do you know if the religious organization you worship in has apostolic succession?

Well let me see. When I was first saved I knew nothing about apostolic succession and no they didn't teach about it.  Did I do something wrong?  Does this mean I'm not saved?

Do you know the origins of the Holy Bible?

Yes I sure do. The apostles wrote the epistles under the guidance of the  Holy Spirit that make up our Knew Testament. God orchestrated men to put the writing in the book we call the Bible I believe they called it cannons.

Do you know, it is written in the Holy Bible you are vain and your faith is dead without works?

Sure did. Says so in James
Do you know, it is written in the Holy Bible to stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle?

Yes I do 2nd Tim 2: 15

Do you know the church the Saints belong to? Many of  these Saints died for that faith.

Yes the apostles were martyred except For John the revelator. The rest of the saints are the believers many of whom suffered great at the hands of the emperors. Still many died for their faith in many parts of the word for the confession of Christ. Do you read "Voice of the Martyrs "

Do you know you crucify Christ daily by your sins and are in the need of being in the state of sanctifying grace in hopes of saving your soul?.

Yes. I am week but he is strong. His grace is often suffient for me When I confess my sins as in 1st Hohn 1: 9. The Lord says I can come to his throne of grace for my every weekness and He is my advocate

Do you know that making reparation for sin is better than following Satan by refusing to serve, only to end up in Hell?

Hmmm Is that to make up for my sins buy some form of sacrificial restitution?  My Bible tells me that Jesus already did it and I am justified by faith.  Good works is a result of my changed life. I have red nothing like that in my Knew Testament

Do you know the origins of Dogma and Theology?

I am no theologian but I do know my Bible pretty well after 35 years and fear no theologian. I am born again of the Spirit who teaches about all the truth and I follow the admonition 2nd Tim 2:15 study to show thyself approved

Do you worship on a humanistic level or on a Divine Supernatural level?

Do you fully understand this statement? I mean the difference between the carnal and knowing the things of the spirit?

[Do you know you have no unity at the origins of the religious structure you so blindly follow?

Do you? If by structure you mean the organizes church of which you suppose I belong to? ]My Bible tells me I am His from the first moment I confessed Him and I have been His ever since. I follow Him and I test he spirits if they are of Him.

YOU ARE GUILTY AS CHARGED!

To Know is to Serve,

Assuming you are a Roman Catholic, how can you not know that the Catholic Church formally embraced the principle of Ecumenism 50 years ago at Vatican II?  Since that time, not a single pope has repudiated this teaching, ignored it or sought to diminish it in any way.  Rather, they have all endorsed it, upheld it and emphasized its importance--particularly the soon-to-be Saint John Paul II.

Are you familiar with any of their teachings on the subject?

To Know is to Serve is not a Catholic in communion with Pope Francis.

He rejects the second Vatican Council and all Popes since then.

He has left the Catholic Church and become a Protestant.

I'm saying the popes endorse the concept of Ecumenism, which means that all those who call upon the name of Jesus Christ truly belong to Him, and are therefore united in Him to each other.  Therefore, we are called to set aside all the finger-pointing and accusations of heresy, and learn to embrace each other as brethren in Christ.

An important part of this embracing is dialogue, in which Christians of different traditions are able to discuss matters of faith and doctrine without anyone insisting that their own tradition is the only correct one.  The underlying principle here is NOT that "all truth is relative" or "whatever you believe is OK," but that if the love of Christ reigns in our hearts, we need to show that love--in the form of respect--to others who share that same love, even if their tradition expresses their faith in Christ differently.

Winsome,

Thanks, that explains a lot!

However, I have a problem with this statement:

Simply rejecting papal authority does not make one a Protestant--he clearly has no affinity to Protestant doctrine!

Are all you Catholics here in line with this. All I have ever heard here is we are the one true church and even though you say Prots can have salvation they are not equal to Catholics as having the fullness and all that stuff.
These condescending  attitudes do not line up with what you just said.

Secondly those of us who truly understand the truth can in no way agree with Catholicism. When one knows that he knows something is false how can he ever be in agreement with it. Ecumenism is deceptive at best.  It is an effort to lull to sleep the differences of the past and reconstruct  popery so it can enjoy total authority as it once did.
