"Back Button" behavior

For about a month now I have been noticing a weird quirk in the forum.  It seems that, at least with Firefox on Windows 7, when I am reading a post, the post "keeps loading" as if it is never completing the page load, with a spinning icon.  And when I hit the back button, the browser will not go back to where I clicked to read the post in the first place.  If I look in the history, it appears that the "back" target is actually a forwarding page to the post that I am reading.  The only way to go "back" is to click a link to where I was before, in essence, go forward.

If that doesn't make sense to whomever fixes forum issues, please let me know, I can attempt to clarify.

It is very annoying behavior.

Yeah I have been annoyed with it as well.

It seems to just keep on loading additional copies of the page.  If you look at the list of previous pages it is often that the page has 4 or 5 copies. So if you are fast enough, you can back up thru them before another copy loads but it is work.

I noted that in another thread [Ongoing Site Issue] but so far have seen no response on it.

Nevertheless

Yep. It's particularly annoying on a slow connection.
