Anybody here a vegetarian? I heard its perhaps the healthiest diet. People were vegetarians before the flood. It was only after the flood that people started eating meat. And before the flood people lived to 900 plus. So any vegetarians here?

Before the Flood plants were available that are not available now.  In addition, the Flood exposed mankind to radioactive materials for the first time, causing an immediate drop in lifespans by about 50%.  It had nothing to do with diet.  After Peleg and that catastrophe, the lifespans dropped again until they reached the prophesied maximum of 120 years.  Again, diet had nothing to do with that.

If you choose to be vegetarian, have at it.  Lots of people are.  But after the Flood, God told Noah that he should be eating animal protein.  Nothing has changed since then.  If you want to diet, cut the sugars and junk food, no sodas (diet or otherwise), eat some protein in the mornings, and yes, do emphasize dark colored fruits and veggies and balance that with complex carbohydrates and some meat.

I believe what has changed the life span is after Adam had sinned he had cursed the ground. It is not that the food was full of toxins. I think over all food was still pretty healthy. But I think because of "Death' God had to change man new genetic structure in which man would gradually live less and less time.

I don't eat as many vegetables as one should. I am kind of limited on my taste of variety. . but I at least every day have a portion of vegetable in one of my 3 meals. . I guess I eat more fruit to try to make up for those vitamins and minerals.

I try to keep up though on eating salads a couple times a week or so. I add tomatoes that adds five hundred mg of Potassium. I could not become a total vegetarian unless we had no choice but to have vegetables only. ... I have 2 vegetarian friends. When I think about their Thanksgiving I am always sad to hear what they will be having that day.

Remember when the people were in the Sinai Desert God gave them quail and manna of bread. He did not give them celery sticks and tomato soup. . if God knew quail was the better option I trust God in this. It is up to each person in their own Faith what kind of diet they choose to eat. Some only vegetables. Some only meat. . some with both of them.  To each their own. As for me I like a mix of everything.
