Possessive girlfriend

I think I have a possessive girlfriend. she is worried when I don't text back on my phone. she wants money from me (medicine for her period and passport. she is from Nigeria). should I end the relationship? she was even interested in how much money I had in my bank account. she is a beautiful woman. Her father died when she was 10 in a car accident as well as catching her former boyfriend sleeping with her best friend. I think she might be insecure. We met a week ago online. I met on an online dating site and usually people have ignored me on the site. on the day I met her, people on other websites started contacting me and I contacted her by asking her if she wanted to go out with me and she gave me her contact info.

Have any of you ever had experience with possessive women?

This sounds like a scam to me. Nigeria is famous for scammers. Any one who asks how much money you have and asks for money for herself is probably only interested in that.  She is probably also lying about her life, and also the photo is probably not her either.
