Dear brothers/sisters in Christ,

Let me give a brief history. I had caught my husband cheating red handed about 3 years ago when we were both single. He begged and begged and i took him back. We got married in 2012, and we have a 19month old. So far all had been fine.

I am currently 2 months pregnant. Last week he had to travel to the Asia for work, and would be for the next 8 to 9 months or more. While washing his clothes yesterday, i found an empty condom wrap. We have never had cause to use a condom! I of course asked him immediately and he denied, stating he must have forgotten it in his trousers long before we got married (which seemed like a very stupid excuse).

For curiosity sake, i decided to take a second look at this condom, and it was manufactured this year!!!!! We have never had any sexual problems to the best of my knowledge. I called him and told him i had seen the manufacturing date and i dropped the phone afterwards. He calls later to still insist that he doesnt know how the condoms appeared in his pockets!

Now i am confused, heartbroken and just weak. I had always told my self that infidelity of a spouse is just a no no no for me. I really dont know what to do. Part of me wants to leave honestly. Run away with my kids somewhere and settle. I feel betrayed.

What would you do in my shoes?

There is no right answer.
Couples do recover from infidelity.
You have a right to feel hurt.
Please consider personal and/or marriage counseling.
Accountability is key.
May God bless you in this trial.

Is this the same man you mentioned IN THIS POST?

If so, I think you know what the answer is.  Cheaters will cheat.  I encourage you to find a mature Christian woman and share the whole story with her...then pray, pray and pray some more.

I am afraid that you have married a cheater. I have no idea why you did that, but he cheated before you married and you now seem surprised that he has cheated again. Also he is totally unrepentant it seems, and is happy to deceive and betray you and lie to you. Of course he is lying about the condom, and he clearly cant be trusted to travel abroad on his own.

As he is supposedly already a believer(I have my doubts about that)its hard to see that he will change, unless he gets strongly convicted by God, is completely repentant and honest and never ever cheats again. I would say that if that were to happen, it MAY be worth trying again with some long term counseling, accountability for him, and the knowledge that if He ever cheats again  the marriage is over, although how you will be able to trust that he wont I don't know. If he agrees to this, then the first thing is for him to look for a job where he is home each day.

If you do decide its over, or that you will separate until he sorts himself out, then don't run away, you need to stay in the home. Ask him to leave.
