why is same sex attraction bad

I have struggled with my homosexuality my whole life and thought I was a bad person. But then I realized why is being gay a sin the bible never specified that detail so I'm just curious I mean there have some proven lies in the bible so could someone please explain why being attracted to the same sex is bad

Simply the Lord created man to be with woman, and vice versa, demonstrated through physical anatomy, human psychology, and heavenly parables, ie the Lord and His Bride. That and the fact that it's written of the severity of the sin, and how God feels on it.

Strictly speaking the action is bad, not the attraction.

The reasons for the action being bad are varied, they range from no chance of actual reproduction to disease spread to more esoteric spiritual things about the nature of creation and the interaction between God and humanity being mirrored in some ways by the interaction between man and woman.

I understand things like modern contraception and STD prevention mechanisms muddies the discussion a bit, but there you have it.
