My favorite Christian athlete is Shaun Alexander of the Seattle Seahawks.  I am not a sports fan, but I know of this guy because of the work he does encouraging young people to live for Christ.  When my son, Geoffery, was baptized, I traveled to Mobile, Alabama, to be there and Shaun was doing a weekend thing for young Christian athletes and spoke at the assembly that Sunday.  My son even got to play basketball with him and we all ate lunch with him. Geoffery is a huge Alabama football fan (the team Shaun played for in college), and it was very encouraging for him to have this interaction with one of his heroes and to hear him have such a powerful witness for Christ.

He does not apologize for his faith and is very open and candid about it. You will see him periodically in interviews telling how he proclaims his faith, and that God is first in his life.
