Anyone else believe Jimmy Swaggart Ministries is a cult?

I started watching Frances Swaggart's program Frances & Friends awhile back. At first things seemed very good, the message of the cross and all. They know the scriptures and I've actually learned a few things from them. But then I started noticing things that aren't quite as they should be. From their own website in the Q & A section, "What Church Should I Attend":

"The Church should teach the Baptism with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with other Tongues, which is available to all Believers, and is received after conversion (Isa. 28:11-12; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:45-46; Acts 19:6; I Cor. 14:4-5, 14-18)."

This clearly contradicts I Corinthians 12:27-30:

"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?"

The answer to Paul's question is oviously NO. But if someone calls into the show who disagrees or tries to point out their mistake someone will usually tear them a new one. The same thing with tithing. They teach tithing but in the next breath say it isn't compulsory as under the Law for example. But if someone calls in and challenges them on it (by saying 10% or any set number isn't necessary for example) they crucify their character and accuse them of not being a faithful giver and are only looking for an excuse not to give (I've actually watched them do this).

Swaggart's teaching seems to far more dangerous and seductive than it ever was in the 80s. To me it has all the hallmarks of a cult.

False teaching, bad manners, and a lack of humility are not confined to cults, but such people should still be avoided.

not sure its a cult but maybe giving mixed messages.

I don't believe they are a cult.  I do believe they are preaching a false gospel and their teaching is in error.
