48th anniversary

On our 48th wedding anniversary:

It's long love matters in the end.
The sudden rushes of the heart
while magical to comprehend,
it's time that makes a lover-friend.

New love and passion have their say.
without the power of knowing this,
how ties grow slowly by the day,

Congratulations Barbarian. We will celebrate our 45th in March Lord willing.

Thank you.  Not a bad poem for 25 minutes work.   I write one every year, but forgot to do that this year, until just before she was to come home.   

It truly is a gift to love someone for a lifetime.  We are blessed, Jaime.
